Yes — many practitioners use both, and they rarely contradict when interpreted skillfully.
They're different maps of the same person. Western astrology might show a strong Saturn influence (discipline, limitation, mastery through effort). BaZi might show a strong Direct Officer and Metal presence — which describes the same archetypal energy in different language.
When they appear to conflict, it's usually an interpretation issue, not a system issue. For example, an astrological chart might suggest a highly social Libra rising, while BaZi shows a Yin Water Day Master that prefers solitude. The resolution: the person is socially capable (Libra mask) but energetically needs solitude to recharge (Water nature).
Using both together gives a richer, more dimensional picture. Many professional consultants are cross-trained.
