How Does Your System Handle Daylight Saving Time and Timezone Issues?

Our chart engine automatically adjusts for Daylight Saving Time (DST) and timezone complexities based on your birth date and location.

How it works:

  • Our database includes historical DST rules for every country — including years when DST was in effect, and exceptions
  • When you enter your birth date and location, the system checks whether DST was active on that date in that place
  • If DST was active, the system subtracts the DST offset to recover the standard local time
  • That standard local time is then used for True Solar Time correction and chart calculation

Important: Always enter your birth time as shown on the clock when you were born. The system handles the DST adjustment automatically. Do not manually subtract the DST hour yourself.

This ensures your chart reflects the actual astronomical time of your birth, not a political clock convention.
