BaZi (八字), also called the Four Pillars of Destiny, is an ancient Chinese system for understanding a person's energetic blueprint based on their birth time — year, month, day, and hour. Think of it as a snapshot of the elemental frequencies present at your first breath.
Western astrology maps planetary positions against the zodiac. BaZi maps Five Element (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water) interactions against time. Astrology asks where were the planets? BaZi asks what was the energetic weather, and how does it flow through your life?
The biggest difference: BaZi is highly focused on timing — your 10-year Luck Cycles and annual shifts — making it especially practical for life planning.
