The Void (空亡) is a special condition where a Branch in your chart falls into an "empty" position in the sexagenary cycle's pairing structure. Whatever God or star sits in the Void loses substance.
Effects vary:
- A Wealth star in the Void: money comes and goes, assets feel unreal
- A Spouse Star in the Void: relationships may feel elusive or unsatisfying
- An Officer star in the Void: career may feel directionless or authority may be hard to claim
The Void is not purely negative. It can bring a spiritual, unworldly quality. Artists, mystics, and innovators often have strong Void placements — they access realms beyond the material. What's lost in solidity is gained in transcendence.
When the Void is "filled" (during certain Luck Cycles or annual combinations), the voided area suddenly materializes. This can feel like life finally "clicking" in that domain.
