🎭 The 10 Gods — Your Inner Cast of Characters
How Your Chart’s Elements Relate to You
The “Gods” aren’t deities. They’re relationship roles between your Day Master and every other element in your chart. There are five pairs (Yin/Yang versions), making ten.
💰 Wealth Stars (What You Pursue)
- Direct Wealth (Zheng Cai) — Steady income, assets, what you can hold. Also your relationship with the material world.
- Indirect Wealth (Pian Cai) — Windfalls, risk, entrepreneurship. Sudden money or a taste for adventure.
📚 Resource Stars (What Supports You)
- Direct Resource (Zheng Yin) — Knowledge, nurturing, motherly support. Formal education, inner peace.
- Indirect Resource (Pian Yin) — Intuition, unconventional wisdom, sixth sense. The lone wolf’s intelligence.
🗣️ Output Stars (What You Express)
- Hurting Officer (Shang Guan) — Talent, creativity, rebellion. The artist who breaks rules brilliantly.
- Eating God (Shi Shen) — Gentle expression, enjoyment, ease. The peaceful creator. Also luck and optimism.
⚔️ Influence Stars (What Shapes You)
- Direct Officer (Zheng Guan) — Authority, discipline, reputation. The career ladder and moral code.
- 7 Killings (Qi Sha) — Pressure, competition, fierce drive. The general or the rebel. Transforms stress into power.
🤝 Companion Stars (Who Stands Beside You)
- Friend (Bi Jian) — Peers, siblings, equals. Your tribe and your competitive edge.
- Rob Wealth (Jie Cai) — Rivals, networking, bold action. The ally who challenges you.
Each star appears multiple times in a chart. Their strength and position reveal your life themes. Too much Wealth and you chase endlessly. Too much Officer and you live in pressure. The art is in the balance. Next: Luck Cycles and timing.
